Stroll under “cloud veils”, metal structures designed to support vines and create smart shadows during the day. As night falls, the park comes to life as the New World Center’s 7,000-square-foot façade becomes a giant canvas for visual projections and live concert broadcasts. Enjoy the perfect acoustics as you relax on the perfectly manicured lawn, surrounded by a choreographed Date Palm and mosaic paths that seem to flow like water. It is a sensory immersion where the limit between Frank Gehry’s building and nature disappears in a symphony of light.
Level: Safe (Urban Center). The park is a busy and well-lit open space. During evening concerts, there is additional security personnel and assistance from the New World Center. It is recommended to take care of personal belongings during massive events, although the atmosphere is generally sophisticated and calm. Access is integrated into Miami Beach City Hall’s security network.
Grade: Gold. The park is designed under the highest standards of universal accessibility. The trails are wide, with a smooth surface and without sudden slopes. The lawn is leveled to allow wheelchair access to the main viewing areas. Tactile signage and accessible restrooms are available in the adjacent complex.
The Center of the Reticle. Position yourself in the central section of the grass in front of the “WALLCAST” projection wall. From here, the immersive audio system and the scale of the image create a feeling of total immersion. It is the point where Gehry’s architecture and the landscaping of West 8 converge to offer the maximum sensory quality of the park.
