Walk the stone paths that wind between artificial hills designed to capture the sea breeze. Upon arrival at South Pointe Pier, feel the force of the Atlantic beneath your feet as you watch surfers tame the waves and giant cruise ships navigate the Government Cut Channel. The park’s nighttime lighting design, with its sculptural towers, transforms the space into a dreamscape that guides boaters and delights walkers. It is the ideal place to disconnect from the bustle of South Beach and reconnect with the eternal rhythm of the tides.
Level: Safe (Public/Family). The park has modern lighting and regular patrols by the Miami Beach police. The dock has safety railings and marked rescue areas. Caution is advised on rocks near water during high tide. The atmosphere is familiar and very relaxed, ideal for safe night walks.

La Punta del Muelle. Walk to the end of South Pointe Pier during “Golden Hour.” The 360-degree view that spans from the Brickell skyscrapers to the immensity of the ocean is unmatched. It is the exact point where you can feel the rotation of the Earth as the sun sets behind the Miami skyline, creating a play of lights on the water that seems straight out of a futuristic vision.
