The First Entry Protocol requires martial punctuality: arrive at the West gate of the Tower of London 15 minutes before opening. Once inside, don’t be distracted by the crows; walk straight to the Jewel House. That’s the hack: you’ll have the world’s most famous crowns all to yourself for about 20 minutes of pure exclusivity. Then, lean against the walls to see the Tower Bridge without people getting in the way of the photo. If you go to the Ceremony of the Keys, the patch is different: total silence, gloom and the feeling that time stopped in the 14th century.
