You are in the heart of the most hostile and gray financial district in the world: The City of London. Around you, glass skyscrapers compete to see which is more intimidating. And then you look up. At the end of all those meters of steel, on the 35th floor of the building nicknamed “the Walkie-Talkie” (20 Fenchurch Street), there is a forest. A tropical garden with palm trees, ferns and flowers that floats over the city at 160 meters high. It’s called Sky Garden and it’s completely free. The only “cost” is knowing how to get the tickets before the rest of the world finds out. That, exactly that, is what Space Journey has just given you.

Your Reservation Hack: Sky Garden tickets are released every Monday at 10:00 AM exactly 3 weeks in advance on their official website (skygarden.london). Enter the site right at 10:00 AM and filter by the day you want to visit. Sunset slots (from 5:30 p.m.) sell out in less than 10 minutes.
Your visit protocol: When you exit the elevator, immediately turn towards the outside terrace before your body adjusts to the temperature. Feel the wind at 160 meters high. Then, return inside and slowly walk through the three levels of the botanical garden. On the lower level, look for the farthest corner of the bar, where the vegetation is denser and you can sit alone surrounded by plants while the city of London unfolds completely at your feet behind the glass.

Inclusion Grade: Gold. It is one of the most accessible panoramic views of London. Full access is possible by wheelchair using elevators. The three levels of the garden have wide, smooth walkways. Being a controlled environment, the density of people is always moderate.
The best Golden Spot is not the outside terrace (which is the obvious view). Go to the southwest corner of the inner garden, where the ferns grow taller and there is a wooden bench. From there, with the wide angle (0.5x) you will capture in a single shot: the palm trees in the garden in the foreground, the silver Thames in the background and the Tower Bridge on the distant horizon. It is the only photo of London where nature dominates over the asphalt.
